Drake alums and Hawkeye fans ... what more could I ask for?! Ashley and Greg are such a sweet (and quiet) couple. You can tell that they are a perfect match in every way, evening handling (with grace) living apart while Greg works in Rochester and Ashley works in Des Moines. Congratulations on the engagement and the new house guys! I guarantee your wedding next summer will be gorgeous!
After rescheduling Allie and Sean's e-session twice, the third time was a charm :) We spent some time right around the Science Center on a not-quite-chilly November evening and only had a little bit of sunlight to work with which made it a bit challenging. However, both Allie and Sean kept a smie on their face the entire time (which I appreciated). I am sure these two will have a gorgeous wedding this spring!
One of the best parts of being a photographer is seeing a side of people's relationships that most people don't get to see - I work with Sam and Nick and am friends with both of them, but until this session, I never saw the way they looked at each other. You'll notice most of my favorite pictures are ones where they are looking at one another simply because as soon as they made eye contact, both of them lit up and had a big smile on their face. Congrats to you two love birds :)
The first thing Kate told me when she got out of the vehicle was that she was sick and would be forcing a lot of smiles. Well, luckily for me, John was able to get her laughing so often that I don't think she had to force too many :) These two are such a fun, down to earth couple and I have a feeling their wedding is going to be a breeze to shoot next June. I love when couples don't mind getting kissy, cuddly in front of me, and John and Kate were one of those couples :)
I am pretty sure Amanda and Todd would have let me take pictures of them all night if I would have been able to. They are so photogenic and obviously in love - I don't even have to pose them because these two lovebirds don't take their eyes (or hands) off each other. Amanda told me she could happily check "become comfortable with your photographer" off her wedding checklist as I am pretty sure I know and have seen more than necessary about this couple ;) I love how different things look as the sun goes down and gives everything a different feel.
