Colemann, Connor & Callie | Child Session

When I was on vacation visiting my family last week I had the *pleasure* of photographing two of my nephews and niece.  I think the children in my family have a handbook that tells them no matter what they do, they shouldn't sit still for a minute when the camera comes out.  Regardless, these kiddos are cute enough that even going 100 mph, they still end up with adorable pictures.  Perhaps one of these days I will be able to convince my sister that they need a full family picture!  Miss you guys and can't wait to see you again soon!

Caydence | Child Session

So I glanced at my wall tonight and noticed that the pictures of my daughter hanging up are of her at a year old .... not a big deal ... if she wasn't turning three in a few months.  Now before you think I am an awful mother for not taking my kids pictures, I need to defend myself - (a)  she hates the camera when I am holding it ... avoiding it at all costs, even charging at it full speed (b)  I get so burnt out taking pictures and editing them for other families that I often neglect to do my own and (c) I always plan on doing "family pictures" but can't justify spending $100+ for someone to take our pictures when I know I could do it if I could just get her to look at the tripod.  Anyway, I forced her to go take some pictures with the promise if she was a good girl she would get to go to the park.  Fifteen minutes in, she fell off a ledge, peed her pants and sure enough, it was time to go home (she still got to go to the park though :))

Six Family | Extended Family Session

Right before I left on vacation a couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to photograph my friend Victoria's entire family.  Not only did we want to photograph her daughter, Ella, turning three months, but also get plenty of pictures for Grandma and Grandpa of their two grandsons, Dallas (Will) and Wyatt, and daughter, Amanda, before the three head to Germany for a couple of year's while Amanda's husband is stationed there.  For as many of them as there were, they did great and the photos didn't take much time at all.  If you know me, you know I loooove photographing bright blue eyes and Amanda and Wyatt have two sets of the brightest blues I have ever seen!  (I normally don't post this many pictures but I gave them an early teaser and felt bad they had to wait until my vacation was over for me to edit!)

Oh Ella!  Three months and happy as ever!

Jack & Savannah | Child Session

The last time I saw these two, it was freezing cold, icy and snowing ... needless to say, this trip to see them was much, much better!  I couldn't believe how much Savannah had grown and how smiley she was.  Just like last time, Jack was a sweetheart and wanting to play.  It is easy to tell where both of these kids get their happy demeanor as their parents (Chris and Julie) are so sweet themselves.  Enjoy :)

Adam + Krisie | Engagement Session

I have had the best luck with my recent "future" wedding couples - Adam and Krisie were no exception :) I met the couple through Adam's sister, Danielle, who I work with, and am super excited for their July 2011 wedding. Not only are they super cute together, but you can tell they really have fun together as well. The combination means one thing .... gorgeous pictures!

The Donoho's | Family Session

Heather and Brandon definitely has their hands full with two boys roughly 16 months apart.  Liam, at almost a year and a half, is all boy.  He was content to run around looking at goose poop and check out airplanes in the sky while I shot away.  Ronan, only six weeks wanted nothing to do with the camera but still managed to let me get some cute shots of him.  In just a few short weeks, Brandon will deploy for Afghanistan so it was important the family gets some pictures together and with daddy so the boys and Heather have photos to look at while he is away.  Good luck to you Brandon - you'll be in my prayers!

Baby Noah | Newborn Session

Little Noah was wide awake for *almost* the entire session and was probably the most well behaved newborn I've encountered :)  He got tons of kisses and you can tell just how proud his mommy and daddy are of their little man.  I can't wait to capture more of him as he grows!

And the proud parents ...
